Asking how to cook pork is a lot like asking how cars are made: Each brand and style is different. It's impossible to completely cover a topic as large as "How to Cook Pork" in one blog, so instead, I'm going to pick one of my favorite recipes, called "Pork Chop Casserole", and share it with you.
You will need the following ingredients:
- 6 to 8 Pork Chops
- 1 Cup Uncooked Rice
- 1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 3 cups of Water
- A dash or two of salt and pepper.
To begin, set your oven to 400 degrees and prepare pork chops by trimming the fat, which is a healthier option than leaving it on. Brown the chops in a skillet for a few minutes. Cover the pork and place it to the side. Next you need a large mixing bowl or 2 quart casserole dish. Combine rice, water, cream of mushroom or soup of choice, and salt and pepper to taste.
Optional ingredients such as chopped onions or celery will only add to the flavor and give you a bigger variety of textures for your palate. Mix your ingredients thoroughly and pour them into your casserole dish if you mixed your ingredients elsewhere. Place the prepared pork chops on top and give them a dash of salt and pepper. Place your uncooked casserole in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until rice is done. Eat and enjoy!
